Well That's Interesting...

First off... regarding bleeding in pregnancy - while it can occur in a "normal" pregnancy it is never considered normal... which is why every doctor you talk to and say "I've got a positive hpt and I'm bleeding" immediately call for the beta hcg level to be drawn... it's not normal and I hope and pray that anyone reading my blog who somehow googled this and found me realize that it's not normal and it's quite frustrating and yes it can be nothing, but it can also be a sign of doom.

Now I know you all stopped by just to hear my results...

Monday's results were 84 at 14-15 dpo
Wednesday's results were 207 at 16-17 dpo...

So within the normal range and yes it doubled. This is good, however we again are not breaking out the champagne, calling our families etc... because read my about me page. We have an u/s scheduled for February 7th... we'll see what we can say about this then. Until then I get to shoot up progesterone and call if I have any "significant" bleeding... as the bleeding is just more like an occasional thing... still disconcerting. Still not "normal"

We shall see...

Who wants to be normal anyway? Very passe'.

The beta number do look good however, so I'm holding onto that little nugget, if that's OK with you.

OK, no excitement (and I totally understand your restraint at this point). So, I will smile and nod, and be thinking of you on the 7th.

Damn spot, be gone!

(BTW, how are the pups? Haven't seen any cuteness in a while!!)

Logged on specifically this morning to check about your redraw. Almost called your cell at 2am to remind you about the draw and check on results -- C had called when he made it to Anchorage. Glad to see that the numbers look good. It's a step in the right direction. Let's continue to hope that you keep walking that path...

As for "normal"...I love ya dear, you know that, but as long as I've known you (god--15 years!) neither one of us could probably ever classify as "normal". But that's what I love about ya! ;)

Keep sticking yourself in the ass w/ that PIO and we'll all continue to hope that #11 brings about wonderful things in 2007. (How's that for Pollyanna-ism this morning??)

It personally drives me a little nutty when I hear "bleeding in pregnancy can be perfectly normal." Well, miscarriages in pregnancy are perfectly normal too (at least for some of us).
There are way too many steps in this process but at least you have passed the second (nicely rising HCG). Here's to some more steps in the right direction.

Thanks for your clear and appropriate messages. We all know it could be nothing, but in our experience, sadly, it's usually something.

Hoping for you.

Your beta does look great. I know it might not be time yet to celebrate, but hopefully soon. I am keeping you in my prayers.

Thinking of you... hadn't checked the blog in a few days, so I was quite surprised. Hopefully the next post(s) are to spread good news. We're all keeping our fingers and toes crossed for you.
